Detroit says farewell to a real sack of crap.
And the sack of crap says:
“Being elected Mayor of Detroit, my hometown, was an honor and a privilege,” he said. “I want to thank everyone who supported me through the years. I am proud of the fact that we, as a community, were able to accomplish so much in such a short period of time.”
No apologies, no regrets.
Kilpatrick, who leaves office at 11:59 p.m. tonight, said transition meetings with incoming Mayor Ken Cockrel Jr. concluded Wednesday.
No politician can be trusted completely but they can’t get much worse… can they?
