In the short time since John McCain announced his new running mate I have heard some incredibly  intelligent statements from my crew of liberal friends. My favorite comes from a large, goateed man:

“Palin makes me want to choke a bitch!”

Really man?  What exactly did she do to make you get physically aggressive against her?

Maybe it’s the fact that it’s a woman running for Veep. Nah, you would shit yourself if Hillary ran with the Savior.

Is it her decision to keep her disabled son? It couldn’t be, you are all for womens reproductive rights.

Guns? Oil? Lack of experience? I don’t think you’d choke a woman over things like that. I think in the lefty handbook those are all listed as spittable offences.

The only reason I can think of that would drive you to getting violent with this woman is her crime of playing for the wrong team. She came on the scene and ruined your comrade’s slam dunk win in November. You will once again be on the losing team as we watch the election from the sideline so you’d rather pull a Harding than feel that empty, worthless feeling again.

Good luck with that pal. She’ll have you cleaned and dressed before you could shed your first tear.

And she’ll have a sweet new Bearded Jackass head to mount on the wall in her new office

Maybe they have something here

Fiji coup chief runs ads to fill Cabinet

SUVA, Fiji - Fiji’s coup leader ran want ads in local newspapers Saturday to fill vacant Cabinet jobs, trying to piece together a new government for the south Pacific country.

Army chief Frank Bainimarama has removed a swathe of senior civil servants, including top police officers, saying he is weeding out corruption entrenched in the administration of ousted Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase.“Applicants must be of outstanding character and without any criminal records,” the advertisements noted, asking aspirants to submit applications at military headquarters by Tuesday. “Each must not have been declared bankrupt.”

Culture of Corruption indeed

Words escape me… and I’m from Chicago!

Rep Jefferson wins Re-election in LA.

By CAIN BURDEAU, Associated Press Writer 28 minutes ago

NEW ORLEANS - U.S. Rep. William Jefferson easily defeated his fellow Democratic opponent in Saturday’s runoff, despite an ongoing federal bribery investigation.

I can’t believe the stupidity of some people.

City Councilman Oliver Thomas said Jefferson’s victory would make the recovery more difficult.

“People are watching this election all around the country and I can only imagine what they are thinking,” Thomas said. “It will be very difficult to go back to them and ask them to trust us with the money we need here.”

I know what I’m thinking. People are retards.

Jefferson drew widespread support among blacks who are skeptical of the federal government’s motives in its investigation of him. He repeatedly suggested the probe is groundless because he has yet to be indicted more than a year after the FBI raided his home in New Orleans.

Speaking of retards:

Carter, 37, raised nearly five times as much money as Jefferson, but she was largely outflanked in the endorsement game. Jefferson picked up the backing of Mayor Ray Nagin and other prominent black politicians.

Birds of a feather:

Before the bribery scandal erupted, Jefferson had climbed to the pinnacle of the Democratic Party. He was a confidant of former President

Bill Clinton and held a seat on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee.
