“They need to show us their plan, and they need to show us their plan now.”

A) Republican lawmaker speaking of the Democrats.

B) Lovie Smith in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl.

C) Democratic lawmakers in Michigan who still can’t believe tax cuts work.

I spend a lot of time in Detroit and see what peoples tax dollars get them.

Grandholm truly believes that more taxing of the already burdoned working class for haircuts and booze and smokes will somehow make everything better for them.

After experiencing our booming economy which was sparked by the Presidents tax cuts they still can’t believe it, and need to see a plan.

Someone who gets it!

Len Walker sounds like a pretty sharp feller:

Name Game

A state lawmaker in Georgia wants to strip the name of Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney from a major highway in suburban Atlanta. Republican Len Walker says Democrat McKinney “has brought embarrassment to the state of Georgia” — and cites her run-in earlier this year with a Capitol Hill police officer and her recent bill to impeach President Bush. Walker has introduced a resolution in the state assembly to change the name of “Cynthia McKinney Parkway” to its original name — Memorial Drive — in honor of 9/11 victims.

Wait for it… NOW:

Former McKinney campaign manager John Evans calls Walker “an idiot” and says of Walker’s claim that McKinney has embarrassed Georgians: “He must be talking about white folks or uppity black folks.”

McKinney lost her bid for another term when she was defeated in a primary runoff last summer.

Maybe they have something here

Words escape me… and I’m from Chicago!

Rep Jefferson wins Re-election in LA.

By CAIN BURDEAU, Associated Press Writer 28 minutes ago

NEW ORLEANS - U.S. Rep. William Jefferson easily defeated his fellow Democratic opponent in Saturday’s runoff, despite an ongoing federal bribery investigation.

I can’t believe the stupidity of some people.

City Councilman Oliver Thomas said Jefferson’s victory would make the recovery more difficult.

“People are watching this election all around the country and I can only imagine what they are thinking,” Thomas said. “It will be very difficult to go back to them and ask them to trust us with the money we need here.”

I know what I’m thinking. People are retards.

Jefferson drew widespread support among blacks who are skeptical of the federal government’s motives in its investigation of him. He repeatedly suggested the probe is groundless because he has yet to be indicted more than a year after the FBI raided his home in New Orleans.

Speaking of retards:

Carter, 37, raised nearly five times as much money as Jefferson, but she was largely outflanked in the endorsement game. Jefferson picked up the backing of Mayor Ray Nagin and other prominent black politicians.

Birds of a feather:

Before the bribery scandal erupted, Jefferson had climbed to the pinnacle of the Democratic Party. He was a confidant of former President

Bill Clinton and held a seat on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee.
